CUPP has created a new board called the PunkThis that can be used within a laptop to replace its HDD and add a 1GHz TI OMAP DM3730 ARM processor paired with 512MB of RAM, a Mini PCIe SSD that will provide shared flash memory.
The 2.5” module for x-86 PCs is based on CUPP’s patented technology and “Multi-mode computing” and has been designed to combine a high performance PC processor (x86/IA) and a low power processor (RISC/ARM) into a single platform.
Allowing users to choose between either a low power/extended battery life and high performance/ normal battery life, enhancing their PCs functionality. The new PunkThis board has been designed to fit in a standard 2.5” drive bay and contains both and Mini PCIe SSD HD and an ARM processor, and allows users to modify the OS and functionality.
More information is available about the new CUPP PunkThis board on the CUPP website.
