Earlier this month it was announced that a new PlayStation application will be rolling out for Sony’s PS Vita games console in the next update and following up on this news it’s now been announced that the new PlayStation application will also be arriving on Android smartphones and tablets in the middle of November 2013.
When the new Playstation App was first unveiled earlier this year is was shown enabling gamers to start a game on their PlayStation 4 console and then continue playing on a smartphone or tablet whilst out and about.
The new PlayStation application feature is called Remote Play but it has not been yet confirmed by Sony as to whether this amazing new feature will be included within the first PlayStation application release. Or whether it is planned to be added at a later date.
The PlayStation application which was recently shown at the Tokyo Games Show was definitely a watered-down version of what was originally shown with a number of the more exciting features being left out.
The new PlayStation application for Android will be rolling out on both Android and iOS devices and it will be interesting to see exactly what Sony will be is including in its Playstation App when it’s next-generation PlayStation 4 console launches next month. The new next generation PlayStation 4 console will be launching on November 15th 2013 in the US and slightly later throughout Europe on November 29th 2013.
