So you’ve been anticipating the arrival of your Playstation 4 for close to a year now, or perhaps even longer, and get home after a long day of work to find it sitting on your doorstep. You rush inside, tear the box open and hook-up your new console only to find it doesn’t work! That would probably make you pretty upset, and unfortunately it’s a real dilemma for some people.
They’re calling it the “blue light of death”, a name the issue has received due to the blue light that flashes to tell you the console is on. Unfortunately, for some people, the light is the only thing that comes on.
There are more than ninety separate issues of the problem posted on Reddit and Sony doesn’t quite know what the problem is. They made an official statement saying they think only .4% of all PS4s are affected, but when you combine the issue with their HDMI problem, the result is a public relations nightmare. Roughly 40% of all Amazon reviews rated the Playstation 4 at one start due to hardware issues of some kind!
This is exactly why I wait a few months to get a new console. Has anyone experienced the blue light yet?
