Some owners of Sony’s next-generation PlayStation 4 games console which launched late last year, have been reporting issues with the console and an Error CE-34878-0 over on the PlayStation forums. Explaining that the Error CE-34878-0 experienced whilst playing the console are causing widespread data corruption.
The PlayStation 4 data corruption issues are causing gamers to lose progress and even in some cases making games unplayable. With one PS4 owners describes how he has lost 30 hours worth of gameplay progress as a result of a corruption caused by “Error CE-34878-0”
Unfortunately the Error CE-34878-0 is not specific to one particular game and is proving tricky to pin down to a certain series of events. A 34 page PlayStation forum thread is now listing Error CE-34878-0 bug reports across many of the PlayStation 4’s current library of games including : NBA 2K14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
