Pioneer has been rocking our socks off in the home theater and home audio markets for years now. In fact, when I was a little kid my dad had a Pioneer stereo that I used to try to use for scratching like Run DMC. Pioneer has unveiled a new product that is a set of computer speakers called the S-MM751RU. The things look really cool too.
They have an angular black design with red trim. The same satellites can be had for only $49 for the pair and the 2.1 system with the sub you see in the photo sells for $129. The sats have triple coil drivers, USB connectivity, metal grills, and integrated controls. They are compact and aimed at people that travel. The larger set has a subwoofer.
The sub has a higher power rating with 10W per satellite and a 20W sub. It uses Maxx Bass Dynamic Sound technology with DSP bass. The speakers have a little round controller for volume and other adjustment. Both the 2.0 and 2.1 systems are available right now.
