After raising huge funds exceeding $10 million via a success Kickstarter campaign the Pebble Watch has made a few alterations to its original design, which have also created a knock on effect delaying its original shipping date by some time.
The Pebble Smartwatch was expected to launch in September 2012, but is no expected to start shipping sometime in the first quarter of this year, fingers crossed.
However on a positive side the new Pebble Smartwatch has now landed and is currently making it way through the US FCC certification process. Indicating that the watch is edging closer to a launch and shipping in the US.
To re-cap the Pebble smartwatch has been designed to provide users with a way of loading applications that can be customised, and even programmed to suit requirements, and connect to your Android or iOS smartphone. “Pebble is the first watch built for the 21st century. It’s infinitely customizable, with beautiful downloadable watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages. While designing Pebble, we strove to create a minimalist yet fashionable product that seamlessly blends into everyday life.”
