Backers of the awesome Pear Bluetooth adapter which we featured here on Geeky Gadgets last month, might be wondering what has happened to the Kickstarter project, which was removed from the Kickstarter site without warning.
Well its now been discovered that the project was removed without explanation from Kickstrater, due to a business (not Apple or iCarly) saying that the PearWithPear logo infringed on their trademark.
PearWithPear explain on their website the mysterious disappearance of the project, which left backers wondering what had happened.
“If you are one of our supporters on Kickstarter you may have noticed that the project has been deleted. Where is Pear on Kickstarter may be your question. Apparently someone (not Apple or iCarly) says we were infringing on their trademark with our logo.
That being said we plan on resolving the issue and coming back with a new and updated logo. Actually, we would welcome your input on what it should be.
Please email us (media@PairWithPear.com) your contact information if you would like us to contact you when we get back up and running. Or leave a comment below… we review them all!”
For more information on the awesome Pear adapter that simply plugs onto the Apple 30 pin adapter of speaker docks, and allows you to connect any Bluetooth enabled device, jump over to our previous post. Unfortunately though the Kickstarter video has now been removed due to the removal of the Pear project from Kickstarter.
