Oppo are holding a press conference later this month for their new Oppo R11 handset, the device will be made official on the 10th of June.
Now the Oppo R11 has popped up on Geekbench and the benchmarks confirm some of the specifications of the handset.
Display and Design
The Oppo R11 will come with a 5.5 inch AMOLED display that will have a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This display is expected to offer vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. The AMOLED technology is known for its energy efficiency, which should help in extending the battery life of the device. The design of the Oppo R11 is sleek and modern, with a slim profile that makes it comfortable to hold and use with one hand. The handset is expected to be available in multiple color options, catering to a wide range of consumer preferences.
Performance and Hardware
The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is a mid-range chipset known for its balance between performance and power efficiency. The Snapdragon 660 is built on a 14nm process and features an octa-core CPU with Kryo 260 cores, clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. This should provide ample performance for everyday tasks, multitasking, and even some gaming. The device will also come with 4GB of RAM, which should be sufficient for smooth multitasking and running multiple apps simultaneously without any noticeable lag.
The Oppo R11 will feature dual cameras on the back, which will be made up of a 16 megapixel camera and a 20 megapixel camera. The dual-camera setup is expected to offer enhanced photography capabilities, including better low-light performance, improved depth sensing for portrait shots, and possibly even optical zoom. The 16 megapixel camera is likely to be the primary shooter, while the 20 megapixel camera could be a telephoto lens or an ultra-wide-angle lens, providing users with more versatility in their photography.
In addition to the impressive camera setup, the Oppo R11 will also come with a 2900 mAh battery. While this may not be the largest battery capacity on the market, the combination of the energy-efficient AMOLED display and the power-efficient Snapdragon 660 processor should help in delivering a decent battery life. The device is also expected to support fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up their battery when needed.
The Oppo R11 is expected to run on ColorOS, Oppo’s custom Android skin, which is based on the latest version of Android. ColorOS is known for its smooth performance and a range of customization options, allowing users to personalize their device to their liking. The software is also expected to come with a range of features and optimizations to enhance the overall user experience.
In terms of connectivity, the Oppo R11 is expected to support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and possibly even NFC for mobile payments. The device is also likely to come with a fingerprint sensor for added security, which could be integrated into the home button or placed on the back of the device.
Overall, the Oppo R11 looks to be a promising mid-range smartphone with a good balance of performance, camera capabilities, and battery life. The official announcement on the 10th of June should provide more details on the device, including its pricing and availability.
