OnePlus have sent out invites to a press event that will take place later today and the company could be announcing a new budget smartphone, the OnePlus One Lite.
Last week we heard that the company has two devices in the works, the OnePlus Two and a budget device which is rumored to be called the OnePlus One Lite.
OnePlus One Lite: A New Budget Contender
The OnePlus One Lite will apparently be cheaper than the OnePlus One although will come with improved specs, which would mean that the company intends to replace the OnePlus One. This new budget-friendly device is expected to attract a wider audience, especially those who are looking for high-quality smartphones without breaking the bank.
The OnePlus One Lite is rumored to feature a slightly smaller display compared to its predecessor, possibly around 5.2 inches, but with a Full HD resolution. This would still provide a crisp and clear viewing experience for users. Additionally, the device is expected to come with a more efficient processor, possibly a Snapdragon 615, which would offer a balance between performance and battery life.
In terms of camera capabilities, the OnePlus One Lite might sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, making it a solid choice for photography enthusiasts on a budget. The device is also expected to come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, with the possibility of expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
OnePlus Two: The Next Flagship
The OnePlus Two is rumored to come with a Quad HD display with a resolution of 1560 x 1440 pixels, the handset is also expected to get an Octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. This would make the OnePlus Two a formidable competitor in the high-end smartphone market, offering top-of-the-line specs at a competitive price point.
In addition to the impressive display and processing power, the OnePlus Two is expected to feature a 20-megapixel rear camera with advanced image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front camera for high-quality selfies and video calls. The device is also rumored to come with a larger battery, possibly around 3,300mAh, to support the high-resolution display and powerful processor.
Another exciting feature that might be included in the OnePlus Two is a fingerprint scanner, which would enhance the device’s security and provide a convenient way for users to unlock their phones and authorize payments. The OnePlus Two is also expected to run on the latest version of OxygenOS, OnePlus’s custom Android-based operating system, which offers a clean and customizable user experience.
It is not clear as yet on exactly which device will be announced at the OnePlus One press event later today, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know. The anticipation surrounding this event is palpable, as fans and tech enthusiasts eagerly await the official announcements and the potential unveiling of these new devices.
The OnePlus One Lite and OnePlus Two represent the company’s commitment to offering high-quality smartphones at various price points. The OnePlus One Lite aims to provide an affordable option with solid specs, while the OnePlus Two is set to be a flagship device with cutting-edge features. Both devices have the potential to make a significant impact in the smartphone market, continuing OnePlus’s tradition of delivering exceptional value to its customers.
