There is a familiar little problem with hands-free lights: the clip is secure, your hands are finally free, and the beam is illuminating the wrong spot. Olight’s newly launched Oclip 2 Series is built around fixing that irritation. Debuting at the company’s O-Fan Day in Houston on September 19, the Oclip 2 Pro and Oclip 2 Ultra introduce a dual-axis system that lets the light head tilt up to 115 degrees while the clip rotates through a full 360 degrees.
The result is a clip light that can stay mounted while the beam moves with the task. Clip it to a backpack strap, work shirt, MOLLE webbing, tent loop, or pocket edge, then redirect the light without changing the mounting point. Self-locking pivots hold the angle in place. Olight says the clip and dual-axis mechanism each completed 10,000-cycle durability tests.
A practical tool for awkward jobs
That flexibility fits the moments when both hands are already occupied. Under a car hood, the beam can be rotated around hoses and wiring, then tilted directly toward a fastener. On an evening dog walk, it can stay attached to clothing or a bag while the light follows the sidewalk. Around camp, the Oclip 2 can hang overhead or attach magnetically to compatible metal surfaces while the user cooks, sets up gear, or works on a repair.
The Oclip 2 Pro offers three lighting modes—flood, spot, and red—with up to 530 lumens of flood output, a spot beam reaching 125 meters, and 40 lumens of red light. The Pro starts at $49.99, with the Tidal Blue finish priced at $54.99. It is also available in Classic Black and High-Visibility Orange.

Ultra adds UV for inspection work
The $69.99 Oclip 2 Ultra raises flood output to 580 lumens and spot reach to 130 meters. It also introduces UV through Olight’s in-house R/UV emitter, which combines red and UV light in one compact component. UV output reaches 800 mW, giving mechanics, HVAC technicians, and other users an additional option for fluorescent leak-detection work and quick inspections.
The Ultra uses Olight’s OAL aluminum for the body and head and includes OclipBeat, a breathing light that changes color according to cumulative usage time. Both models support USB-C and Olight’s magnetic MCC charging system. Premium versions include a 1,000 mAh Mobile Charging Dock that recharges the light on the go and extends total runtime to approximately twice that of the light alone.
Olight says the Oclip family has grown to more than one million users worldwide. This second generation keeps the appeal of a compact clip light and gives people much finer control over where that light lands. For garages, campsites, evening walks, field work, and all the small tasks that become harder when one hand is holding a flashlight, that is a useful evolution.
