September is a useful time to take inventory of the small tools that quietly keep a day moving. The evenings arrive earlier, road trips stretch into shoulder season, and National Preparedness Month puts a little extra attention on what is actually sitting in the glove box, backpack, or kitchen drawer. Olight used its 2026 O-Fan Day to introduce an Amber Orange version of the ArkPro Ultra, giving its flat everyday-carry flashlight a noticeably warmer personality as fall begins.
The color is the headline, but the manufacturing story is more interesting than a simple paint swap. Olight says the Amber Orange body is produced with a new three-step OAL anodizing process that combines anodizing, precision machining, and a second anodizing treatment. The company tested more than 100 anodizing parameters while refining the finish, and says the result can deliver up to twice the scratch resistance of its standard color anodizing. Black detailing keeps the look grounded, so the orange lands closer to premium hardware than high-visibility construction gear.
A pocket light built around several kinds of problems
Under the new finish, this is still the ArkPro Ultra platform: a slim, 124 x 27 x 16 mm body weighing 120 grams, with a dual-direction clip and a rotary selector that moves between four light sources. The ArkPro Ultra delivers up to 1,700 lumens, with the floodlight reaching 1,700 lumens and the spotlight extending up to 205 meters. There is also 365 nm UV with output up to 1,200 mW, plus a Class 3R green laser with constant and momentary modes.
That mix makes sense for the kind of ordinary situations that rarely feel important until they happen. A wide flood can cover a dark room during an outage or light a work area under a sink. The spotlight is better suited to a trail, parking lot, or roadside check. UV has inspection uses, and the green laser adds a pointing tool for work or presentations. Charging can be handled through USB-C or Olight’s MCC magnetic system, which is handy for people who divide their gear between a desk, car, and travel bag.
Design details that make the tool feel personal
Olight also keeps one of the ArkPro Ultra’s more unusual touches: ArkBeat, a small pulsing light that activates briefly and changes color based on accumulated use. It is a subtle bit of personality in an otherwise practical object, and it fits the broader idea behind this colorway. Everyday-carry gear spends a lot of time in your hand and pocket. There is room for it to look considered as well as competent. The bright finish may also make the light easier to identify quickly in a crowded drawer, travel bag, or emergency bin.
The ArkPro Ultra Amber Orange is scheduled to go on sale September 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET for $129.99, with no introductory discount announced.
