OCOSMOS have today announced that their new OCOSMOS OCS9 Windows 7 tablet will now be shipping in early December and is now available to pre-order in the United States. The OCOSMOS OCS9 tablet has been billed as the thinnest Windows 7 tablet currently available on the market and comes equipped with a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, with a resolution of 1280 x 800.
It’s powered by a 1.5GHz Oak Trail Atom Z670 processor supported by 2GB of RAM, together with a choice of either 16 GB or 32 GB of on-board flash storage. It also comes with an optional LCD screen remote control called the Smart O-Bar.
Innovative Smart O-Bar Remote Control
The Smart O-Bar is equipped with a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 resolution LCD screen, together with a gyroscope and accelerometer and connects to the Windows 7 tablet via Wi-Fi. It can be used as a number of different peripherals in conjunction with the tablet, such as a keyboard, mouse, games controller or even a VoIP phone handset. This versatility makes the Smart O-Bar a unique accessory, enhancing the functionality of the OCS9 tablet significantly.
The system also allows you to stream multimedia content from the main OCS9 Windows 7 tablet down to the Smart O-Bar remote control handset if required. This feature is particularly useful for users who want to enjoy their media on a smaller, more portable screen without having to carry the entire tablet around. Additionally, the Smart O-Bar can be used to control presentations, making it a valuable tool for business professionals.
Optional HDMI Docking Station
There is also an optional HDMI docking station available which provides USB ports and an ethernet connection. This docking station transforms the OCS9 tablet into a more versatile desktop replacement, allowing users to connect a variety of peripherals such as external hard drives, printers, and wired internet connections. This makes the OCS9 an excellent choice for both home and office use, offering the flexibility to switch between a portable tablet and a fully functional desktop setup.
The HDMI docking station also supports high-definition video output, enabling users to connect the tablet to larger displays or projectors. This is ideal for watching movies, giving presentations, or even playing games on a bigger screen. The combination of the OCS9 tablet, Smart O-Bar, and HDMI docking station creates a comprehensive ecosystem that caters to a wide range of user needs.
Performance and Usability
The 1.5GHz Oak Trail Atom Z670 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM, ensures that the OCS9 tablet delivers smooth performance for everyday tasks such as web browsing, document editing, and multimedia playback. The choice of 16 GB or 32 GB of on-board flash storage provides ample space for storing essential files and applications, although users may want to consider additional storage solutions for larger media libraries.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 offers crisp and clear visuals, making it suitable for both work and entertainment. The tablet’s thin profile and lightweight design make it easy to carry around, while the robust build quality ensures durability.
The OCOSMOS OCS9 Windows 7 tablet, with its innovative Smart O-Bar remote control and optional HDMI docking station, offers a versatile and powerful solution for a variety of users. Whether you are a business professional, a student, or a casual user, the OCS9 tablet provides the flexibility and functionality needed to meet your computing needs.
