If you are looking to pick up an iPhone 5S from UK mobile carrier O2 on launch day, this Friday the 20th of September, you may be in for a bit of a wait, as O2 will have very limited stock of the iPhone 5S.
I have spoken to five O2 stores in the UK this morning, and also to O2 direct, and have been told by the stores that they will not have stock on Friday, instead they will be taking orders in store for the iPhone 5S.
Some O2 stores will have very limited stock of the iPhone 5S, although the 5 that we contacted have been told that they will not have stock on Friday.
O2 will start taking orders for the iPhone 5S on Friday morning over the telephone at 8.01AM, they will also be taking orders online at the same time.
It is not clear as yet on why O2 will have such limited stock of the iPhone 5S, I have also spoken to various other carriers retail stores, and have been told that they will have the device in stock in their stores this Friday.
The O2 representative that I spoke to told me that they expect to sell out of the device very quickly, and when I asked him how long it would take for them to get new stock, he has been told it could take up to two months, depending on how many orders they have.
If you are looking to get an iPhone 5S on Friday from O2, and have any details on any stores within the UK that will have stock of the handset, leave a comment and let us know, don’t forget to mention which store will have stock.Filed Under: Apple, Apple iPhone, Technology News, Top News
