O2 has had issues with data in the UK this morning, I first noticed the issue at around 6AM UK time when there was no data connection on my fine.
There have been a number of reports online and on Twitter of the issue and O2 has now confirmed that the issue has been resolved. You can see what the carrier had to say about the problem in the tweet below.
Outage Update: One of our 3rd party suppliers has identified a software issue in their system. Our technical teams are working extremely hard to resolve this. We’d encourage you to use Wi-Fi wherever you can and we are really sorry.

It is not clear as yet on whether the issue has been fixed nationwide, there are various reports from around the UK of data being restored.

It looks like O2’s data is down again, as we have seen a number of reports of issues persisting and I am also having the same issue on my own device.
