The new NVIDIA Shield Tablet was announced last week, and now NVIDIA has started shipping the device, this is for the 16GB version of the tablet that retails for $299.
The NVIDIA Shield tablet comes with some impressive specifications, which include an 8 inch full high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Powering the Shield Tablet is the new NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor which features 192 dedicated graphics cores, the device also comes with 2GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot which offers support for 128GB cards.
This new gaming tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat and it comes with front and rear facing 5 megapixel cameras that are both HDR capable.
It has access to a wide range of games from the Google Play Store and also games from NVIDIA, we recently saw some of the new games which have been developed for the device.
NVIDIA are also launching a 32GB model of the tablet that will come with LTE, the current 16GB model features WiFi only, the 32GB version will retails for $399. The tablet also comes with an optional gaming controller which retails for $59.99. The tablet is now available from today in the US, Canada and the UK.
