As expected Barnes & Noble have today launched their new larger 8GB Nook Tablet for $199. Cutting the prices of their existing Nook Color down to $169. The new Nook 8GB Tablet is fastest and lightest tablet in Barnes & Noble range and is equipped with a 7″ ultra-responsive colour touchscreen.
Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, supported by 512MB of RAM. Together with a new battery which has been designed to provide the new 8GB Nook with enough juice to keep it going for unto 11.5 hours, without needing a charge.
The 8GB Nook Tablet is also fitted with a microSD memory expansion, providing extra storage space if required. As well as the world’s most advanced VividView display for viewing content, with 16 million colours say Barnes & Noble. William Lynch, chief executive officer of Barnes & Noble, explained in the press release today:
