Earlier this year, Nokia introduced the highly anticipated Nokia 6 smartphone in China, but it came in only one color option: Black. The smartphone received a lot of demand when it launched in the country, and is expected to hit global markets in the coming weeks.
Recently, the Nokia 6 was listed in another color option on the Chinese retailer JD.com website: silver white (as pictured above).
The new color option is set to go up for pre-orders in China on April 11th. There’s no difference in the price tag nor in the specifications it has to offer.
Specifications and Features
As for the specifications, the handset comes with a 5.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, which ensures a crisp and clear viewing experience. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor, which is a mid-range chipset designed to handle everyday tasks with ease. The Nokia 6 offers two variants in terms of memory and storage: one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and another with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This allows users to choose the model that best fits their needs, whether they require more storage for apps and media or more RAM for smoother multitasking.
The handset is equipped with a 16MP rear camera, which is capable of capturing high-quality photos and videos. The camera features phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash, ensuring that users can take clear and vibrant pictures even in low-light conditions. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls, which also supports wide-angle shots to fit more people into the frame.
The Nokia 6 is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which should provide enough juice to last through a full day of moderate use. Additionally, the device ships with Android Nougat as its operating system, offering a clean and user-friendly interface along with access to the latest features and security updates from Google.
Global Availability and Market Impact
The introduction of the silver white color variant is expected to boost the appeal of the Nokia 6, as it provides consumers with more choices and caters to different aesthetic preferences. The demand for the Nokia 6 in China has been impressive, and the company is likely hoping to replicate this success in other global markets.
Nokia’s return to the smartphone market has been met with enthusiasm from both consumers and industry experts. The Nokia 6, in particular, has been praised for its solid build quality, reliable performance, and competitive pricing. By offering a device that combines attractive design with practical features, Nokia is positioning itself as a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone segment.
In addition to the Nokia 6, the company has also announced other models, such as the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, which are aimed at different price points and user needs. This diversified product lineup demonstrates Nokia’s commitment to catering to a wide range of consumers and re-establishing its presence in the highly competitive smartphone market.
We’ll update you as soon as the sales in other global markets commence. The global rollout of the Nokia 6 will be a significant milestone for the company, as it seeks to regain its foothold in the industry and win over a new generation of smartphone users.
