We havefeatures a number of noise cancelling headphones here on Geeky Gadgets such as the Bose C15 and Teac T50. Which both do a fine job of reducing surrounding sounds but are expensive and packed with electronics to assist the noise reduction.
ZEM on the other hand claim that they can reduce noise with no electronics and have launched their new SensGard noise cancelling headphones.
Dr. Jozef Zwislocki, an audio researcher has developed a new technique that only uses a simple amplifier to cancel background noise and promise to provide up to 37 dB reduction in noise in both low and high frequency ranges.
Without the added noise cancelling electronics ZEM is able to create a light weight low cost solution that could change the noise cancelling market. Cant wait to give them a try, to see how they compare to the Bose C15.
