Last week we heard that the company that purchased Sony’s Vaio laptop business would be launching a smartphone under the Vaio brand in Japan and the new Vaio Phone is now official.
The Vaio Phone will only be sold in Japan and the device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 720p HD display.
The new Vaio Phone will come with a quad core 1.2GHz processor and will feature 2GB of RAM, the handset also comes with 16GB of built in storage plus a microSD card slot which can take up to 64GB cards.
There is also a 2500 mAh battery which will give you up to 800 minutes of talk time and up to 500 hours of standby time, plus a micro SIM card slot.
The Vaio Phone will retail in Japan for 51,000 yen which is around $420, the handset will also be available for 4,000 yen per month which is around $33 and it comes with unlimited data.
