Watch manufacturer TAG Heuer is this week announced they will be showcasing a new addition to their range at this year’s BaselWorld 2018 event where the company will unveil their new TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02, fitted with a new TAG Heuer watch movement.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 Chronograph comes exclusively in a 43mm wide case, although a 45mm version with a GMT function was hinted at in the company’s press release, but no weather information on this watch has been announced as yet. It has been rumoured that the Heuer 02 will replace the 43mm Heuer-01, while the 45mm Heuer-01 will continue to be made available.
The new TAG Heuer watch movement has been created in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Heuer Carrera, and the automatic movement is a true chronograph, with a 75-hour power reserve and constructed from 168 components. A skeleton dial o n the watch allows wearers to view the new engine and sits inside case offered in a variety of finishes and materials including steel, PVD, and ceramic, with similarly rugged bracelet and strap options to complement the watch and new movement.
