Pizza Hut and The Shoe Surgeon are joining forces to create a pair of smart shoes in the form of the Hut Pie Tops II sneakers, that will be capable of ordering pizzas as well as pausing your TV while you go to the door to pick up your delivery.
Building on the original Pie Tops sneakers design, the next generation Pie Tops II sneakers now include buttons built into the tongues of the sneakers which connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and use the companion application to order pizzas directly from Pizza Hut. With the other providing the ability to pause your TV if desired. Although at the current time Pizza Hut has not explained the exact workings of the system but according to the Fortune website the Pizza Hut 2 sneakers will be compatible with receivers from Spectrum, DirecTV, Xfinity, Dish, and Fios for TB control.
The Pizza Hut Pie Tops II sneakers will be available in red and gold and as you might have already expected will be a limited run similar to the original, with each shoe custom-made by the Shoe Surgeon. If you are interested though 50 pairs of Pizza Hut Pie Tops II sneakers will be made available to purchase via HBX website, via the link below, during the week commencing March 19th.
