We have already seen some press renderings of the new Moto G5, and now it looks like we have some actual photos of the handset.
Brazilian website Dudu Rocha has posted some photos of the new Moto G5, and the handset looks exactly the same as the press shots (pictured above) we saw recently.
Display and Design
Previous rumors have suggested that the handset will come with a 5-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This resolution ensures that the display is sharp and clear, making it ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The compact size of the 5-inch screen also makes the Moto G5 comfortable to hold and use with one hand, which is a significant advantage for users who prefer smaller devices.
Performance and Storage
The device is also rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 2GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 430 is a mid-range processor that should provide adequate performance for everyday tasks such as browsing the internet, using social media apps, and playing casual games. The 2GB of RAM will help ensure that the device can handle multitasking without significant slowdowns.
In terms of storage, the Moto G5 is expected to come with 32GB of built-in storage. This should be sufficient for most users to store their apps, photos, and videos. Additionally, the device will feature a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand the storage further if needed. This is a useful feature for those who like to keep a large library of media files on their device.
Camera and Battery
The new Moto G5 will also come with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls and a 13-megapixel rear camera for photos and videos. The 13-megapixel rear camera should be capable of capturing detailed and vibrant photos, making it a good option for photography enthusiasts. The front camera, while not as high-resolution, should still be sufficient for taking decent selfies and making clear video calls.
The device will also come with a 3000 mAh battery, which should provide enough power to last through a full day of moderate use. Battery life is always a critical factor for smartphone users, and a 3000 mAh battery should ensure that the Moto G5 can keep up with the demands of daily use without needing to be charged frequently.
Software and Additional Features
The Moto G5 will come with Android Nougat, which is a relatively recent version of Android. Android Nougat brings several improvements and new features, including enhanced notifications, improved multitasking, and better battery optimization. Users can expect a smooth and responsive experience with the Moto G5 running Android Nougat.
Motorola will also announce another device, the Moto G5 Plus, which will have a larger display. The Moto G5 Plus is expected to offer similar specifications to the Moto G5 but with a larger screen, making it a better option for users who prefer larger devices for media consumption and gaming.
We will have more details about these new handsets at MWC 2017 next week. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is one of the biggest events in the mobile industry, and it is the perfect platform for Motorola to showcase their latest devices. We can expect to see more information about the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, including pricing and availability, during the event.
