We have bee hearing rumors that Apple may launch a new 7th generation iPod Touch and now a new icon for the device has been discovered in the latest beta of iOS 12.2.
The icon was discovered by Jonathan Mitchel who revealed the icon on Twitter, you can see what he had to say about it in the tweet below.
I was doing some coding in iOS 12.2 Beta 4. I cracked this here on what a new iPod touch 7th generation could look like. HLipod is the 6th generation HLipod2 is a unreleased generation. *Notice no home button and it looks to be a full screen display.* @OnLeaks @stroughtonsmith pic.twitter.com/pXLzif5JMZ

Although some other developers have said that this icon is not present in the latest beta of iOS 12.2. What is interesting is that we just received an email from Techno Codex who have apparently managed to get their hands on the schematic for the new 7th generation iPod Touch, this can be seen below.
It is not clear as yet on when Apple will make their new iPod Touch official, as soon as we get some more details on when the device is coming, we will let you guys know.
