Honda has announced that the new Honda E will come with a Side Camera Mirror System as standard, this will be one of the first cars in the compact segment that will use this new mirror system.
Instead of mirrors on the side of the doors, there will be two small camera that will shown the drive inside what you would normally see in a wing mirror.
Honda has confirmed that the Side Camera Mirror System of the new Honda e urban electric vehicle will be available as standard when the car enters production. As seen on the prototype version, the technology is a first in the compact segment and brings significant benefits for styling, safety, aerodynamics and refinement.
The Side Camera Mirror System replaces conventional side view mirrors with compact cameras providing live images to two six-inch screens inside the vehicle. Integrated at either end of the dashboard, these ergonomically positioned screens ensure a natural feel and vision for the driver.
