The new Honda Civic Type R has smashed the Nürburgring for front wheel drive cars and was 3 seconds faster than the previous record holder the, VW Golf GTI Clubsport S.
The Honda Civic Type R managed a time of 7 minutes and 43 seconds at the Nürburgring, have a look at the video below.
The new Honda Civic Type R comes with a2.0 litre VTEC Turbo engine with 315 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, it features a six speed manual transmission and a lighter more rigid body shell than the previous model.
The Civic Type R will go into production this summer in Swindon in the UK and it will be exported to Europe and the US later this year.
