TomTom has announced a new Hands Free Car Kit that comes in two versions. One version is designed specifically for the Apple iPhone and the other is designed for Android smartphones and other devices that recharge using a micro USB port. Either version sells for €99.95.
A version that includes a hands-free kit for the iPhone and a navigation application for Western Europe sells for €149.95. The new car kit has an integrated 2-watt speaker and has an extendable microphone that can be clipped to the sun visor. That new microphone allows the mic to be closer to the driver for clearer audio.
The device also has a new door mount solution with a suction cup for the window in a self-adhesive disc for the dash. The hands-free kit supports voice menus and spoken instructions and has easy to reach call answer and reject buttons.
