Google’s current VR device is Google cardboard and now according to a recent report we will see a new Google VR device this year.
The new Google VR device will apparently be similar to the Samsung Gear VR, although the device will apparently work with a wide range of smartphones.
The new Google VR device will apparently be made official at Google’s I/O Developer Conference and the device will apparently launch later in the year, some time in September.
The device will apparently work with Google’s Android devices and Android will apparently get some new software to work with the device.
The company’s current VR device, Google Cardboard, launched backed in 2014 and 5 million units of the device has shipped, so Google is now looking to make a new device with new features and hardware.
The device is expected to work with the company’s range of Nexus device and also Android smartphones from other manufacturers.
