After the unfortunate early publication of an advertisement revealing plans for DJI to launch two new Mavic Pro drones in the near future. The company has now confirmed a couple of specifications and features ahead of the drones official launch. As you can see from the leaked image below when compared to the currently available Mavic Pro drone above the new cameras of the newly confirmed Mavic 2 Zoom and Mavic 2 Pro offer a new design and are equipped with a 1 inch CMOS sensor.
Both of the new DJI Mavic 2 drones will offer a flight time of 31 minutes and a range of up to 8 km while offering live video transmission at 1080p resolutions. The image was unfortunately leaked by UK-based retailer Argos after DJI postponed a July 18th 2018 press event, leaving no time for Argos to retract the publication. DJI explained and confirmed the imminent launch of the new drones :
“This preprinted catalogue was scheduled before we postponed our ‘See the Bigger Picture’ event to ensure we can deliver high-quality, cutting-edge technology to our customers according to our standard of innovation. This early look just hints at the many exciting features and capabilities DJI will announce at the proper time. We look forward to giving our fans an incredible drone experience as soon as we can.”
Unfortunately no information on worldwide availability, or pricing have been announced as yet but as soon more information is made available we will keep you up-to-date as always.
