In just afew hours Apple are holding their iPod music event where they will announced this years range of iPods. One thing we have been hearing about for some time is that Apple intends to inject some life back into their Apple TV, with a new cheaper model that may be unveiled today.
Bloomberg are reporting that the new Apple TV will include movie streaming from Netflix, and users would pay a subscription fee to Netflix to use the streaming service.
The streaming service would be available on the revamped version of Apple TV, due to be introduced tomorrow in San Francisco, said two of the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans haven’t been made public.
This does sound interesting, and maybe this is the sort of thing that Apple needs to do with Apple TV in order to get people interested in the device, although we are not sure how this would affect iTunes movie rentals, something that Apple would probably be pushing on the new Apple TV.
