We have been hearing rumors about the new iPhone 7 for some time that Apple would be ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack on their iPhone 7 and will instead use their lightning port for audio.
Now another rumor has popped up, this time from the Wall Street Journal that is suggesting that Apple are removing the headphone jack on this years iPhone.
This is expected to be the only major design change to the iPhone 7, the device will look very similar to the iPhone 6S and next years model will get a major re-design. In terms of hardware the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will come with a new faster Apple A10 processor and also more RAM. The two handsets will also come with the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 10.
There is a possibility that we could see some other hardware changes, this may include a higher resolution display on both handsets. The cameras are also expected to be upgraded and there is a rumor that the 7 Plus will have dual camera setup on the back.
Apple are rumored to be launching their two new iPhones some time in September. We are also expecting the release of Apple’s iOS 10 to take place in September for existing devices.
