We previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would come with a metal casing, Samsung are said to be changing from plastic to metal on the Galaxy S5 to give the handset a high end look and feel.
According to a recent report, Taiwanese company Catcher will apparently supply the metal body for the Samsung Galaxy S5, although the company will be one of the suppliers, as Samsung will need to use a number of suppliers to meet possible demand for the Galaxy S5.
Other companies which are said to be supplying the metal casing for the Samsung Galaxy S5 include China’s BYD and Taiwan’s Ju Teng, and Samsung are expected to order between 10 and 30 million casings to reach initial demand for the smartphone.
As yet we do not have any concrete information on what specifications the handset will come with, although there have been a number of rumors that the device will feature a 5 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also rumored to come with at least 3GB of RAM, although there is the possibility that Samsung could launch the device with 4GB of RAM.
We have also heard previously that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a 16 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL camera, the device is also expected to launch with Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
We are expecting an official announcement from Samsung either in later January or some time in February, with the handset expected to hit the stores in either late February or early March.
It will be interesting to see what the new Samsung Galaxy S5 is like, what we are particularly interested in seeing is the new design of the handset with the metal casing instead of the plastic one on the Galaxy S4.
