Rumors about the purported Samsung Galaxy S5 have been circulating on the internet from past few weeks. Now, there’s a new rumor suggesting that Samsung will launch the new Samsung Galaxy S5 in February, along with the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Gear 2.
According to this new rumor, the handset will come in two versions: one with similar curved screen as Samsung Galaxy Round along with a usual plastic version. Both versions of Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a similar set of specifications 3GB RAM, 16MP rear camera, a massive 4,000 mAh battery and will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Well, some of the specifications go against what we heard in the past; previously, a rumor pointed out that the upcoming flagship device will come with 4GB RAM.
In terms of the display, a rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a 5-inch AMOLED display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Well, February sounds good as Mobile World Congress 2014 will take place by end-February and we’ve seen rumors that Samsung will launch Galaxy Grand Lite as well as a Galaxy Note 3 Lite version at the event as well. There’s no official word from Samsung about it, but if the rumors are correct, we’ll definitely see more leaks and images, along with the possible specifications in the coming months. Until then, just take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
