We saw some photos of the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 last month, and now we have some more photos of the device which is expected to come with BlackBerry 7 OS, a single core 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of storage, and support for NFC.
As you can see from the photos, it features a QWERTY keyboard and will also come with a touchscreen display. Unfortunately, that is all we know so far.
Design and Build Quality
The BlackBerry Bold 9790 continues the legacy of BlackBerry’s iconic design, combining a physical QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen display. This hybrid approach aims to offer the best of both worlds: the tactile feedback of a physical keyboard and the versatility of a touchscreen. The device is expected to have a sleek and professional look, making it suitable for business users who need a reliable and efficient communication tool.
The build quality is anticipated to be robust, with a solid frame that can withstand daily wear and tear. The materials used are likely to be premium, ensuring that the device not only looks good but also feels durable in hand. The compact size of the Bold 9790 makes it easy to carry around, fitting comfortably in pockets and small bags.
Performance and Features
Under the hood, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 is expected to be powered by a single-core 1.2GHz processor. While this may seem modest compared to today’s multi-core processors, it should be sufficient for the tasks that BlackBerry devices are typically used for, such as email, messaging, and basic web browsing. The 8GB of internal storage provides ample space for apps, documents, and media files, and there may be an option to expand storage via a microSD card slot.
One of the standout features of the Bold 9790 is its support for NFC (Near Field Communication). This technology allows for quick and secure transactions, data exchange, and connections with other NFC-enabled devices. NFC can be particularly useful for mobile payments, making the Bold 9790 a forward-thinking device in this regard.
The BlackBerry 7 OS is expected to bring a range of improvements and new features to the device. This operating system is designed to be fast and responsive, with a user-friendly interface that makes navigation easy. It also includes a variety of pre-installed apps and services that cater to both personal and professional needs.
As soon as we get some more information on when the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 will be available, along with its full specifications, we will let you guys know.
