After nearly an 8 year wait Microsoft finally launched their new next-generation Microsoft Xbox One games console to the world on Friday and after impressive sales all around the world is now been reported that the new Xbox One console has outsold the Xbox 360 console by a massive 2 to 1 in the UK.
The older Xbox 360 originally launched way back in 2005 and has now been superseded by the Xbox One console which over the weekend accounted for nearly 80 percent of all home console sold this weekend.
Sony has still yet to launch their new next-generation PlayStation 4 in the UK but has already seen very impressive sales throughout the US and Canada. Selling more than 1 million consoles in just 24 hours.
Microsoft also saw 10 of the 16 Xbox One launch titles debuted in the UK’s top 40 chart during its UK launch and reflects the same number of titles that appeared in the top 40 junior Xbox 360’s launch way back in 2005.
The Microsoft Xbox One is powered by a customised AMD Jaguar 8 core processor is equipped with a graphics processor that is tailored for Direct X 11 graphics.
Together with 32MB of high bandwidth embedded ESRAM which is supported by 8GB of RAM that when combined offer support for full HD video in 1080p and the new Ultra HD 4k video standard and 7.1 surround sound support.
