Developers of Windows Phone 7 applications have been able to submit as many applications as they want to the Windows Phone 7 marketplace every day, this has led to some problems in the ‘new apps’ section of the marketplace.
On one particular day, the new apps sections of the Windows Phone 7 marketplace was completely full of applications submitted by one developer, with many of the applications having similar functionality.
Microsoft has now announced that it is changing its application submission policies, and now developers will only be able to submit a maximum of 20 applications per day for approval.
Whilst 20 per day is still quite a lot of application that will show up in the ‘new apps’ section, it is a lot better than unlimited applications and should lead to less apps showing up from the same developer in the same day.
