We have been hearing quite a bit about the Project Pink phones from Microsoft [MSFT] over the last couple of weeks, Microsoft has finally unveiled its new mobile phones which are designed for social media, the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two.
Both of these new Microsoft mobile phones are designed specifically for people who use various social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook. They both have a unique interface, and both mobile phones were developed in conjunction with Sharp.
The Kin One features a circular style design, with a touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 240, a five megapixel camera, the abilility to record VGA video, and 4GB of built in storage. There is also a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
The Kin Two has higher specifications with a larger touchscreen display and a 480 x 320 pixel resolution, an eight megapixel camera that is capable of recording HD video in 720p. It also comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and has 8GB of built in storage.
Both models run on NVIDIA Tegra platform, and feature integration with Microsoft’s Zune for music, videos, podcasts and FM radio. Microsoft has teamed up with Vodafone to sell the new Kin Social Networking mobile phones, there are no details on pricing as yet.
