The new Mercedes C Class launched recently, and now Mercedes are working on a plug in hybrid version of the C Class, which is expected to come with some impressive fuel saving features.
The Mercedes C Class plug in hybrid will be capable of returning around 117 MPG on a mixed cycle which certainly does sound very impressive, and it will feature an all electric range of around 18 miles.
This new plug in hybrid will apparently come with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine with around 211 HP, the electric engine which will have around 68 HP, it will also have a lithium ion battery, and a range of fuel and battery saving measures.
Mercedes intend to launch a range of plug in hybrid vehicles, and the company is working on various vehicles, although they have not give any details on when this new C Class will launch.
The Mercedes C Class plug in hybrid is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of next year, as soon as we get some more information and some actual pictures of the vehicle, we will let you guys know. We suspect that it will probably launch in the second half of next year.
