EA has released a new gameplay trailer/teaser for their upcoming Medal of Honor Warfighter game currently in development by Danger Close Games. The new Warfighter game is a direct sequel to the last Medal of Honor game launched in 2010, and will be the 14th Medal of Honor installment in the series. Medal of Honor Warfighter will use DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine, the same one used in Battlefield 3.
Game Features and Mechanics
Medal of Honor Warfighter will be launching on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 consoles during October 2012; however, a specific launch date has yet to be announced. The game promises to deliver an intense and realistic military experience, drawing inspiration from real-world events and operations. The Frostbite 2 engine will enable highly detailed environments, realistic physics, and dynamic lighting, enhancing the overall immersion for players.
One of the standout features of Medal of Honor Warfighter is its focus on authenticity. The game is written by Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas, ensuring that the missions and scenarios are grounded in reality. Players will follow the global Warfighters as they are tasked with taking on a real terror threat, PETN. This level of authenticity aims to provide a gripping narrative that resonates with players who appreciate military realism.
Multiplayer and Customization
In addition to its single-player campaign, Medal of Honor Warfighter will offer a robust multiplayer experience. The game will feature various multiplayer modes that cater to different playstyles, from traditional team deathmatches to objective-based missions. Players will have the opportunity to choose from a range of international special forces units, each with unique abilities and equipment.
Customization will play a significant role in the multiplayer experience. Players can personalize their loadouts, selecting from a wide array of weapons, attachments, and gear to suit their preferred combat style. This level of customization allows for a more tailored and strategic approach to gameplay, encouraging players to experiment with different setups to find what works best for them.

The new gameplay trailer showcases some of the intense action and high-stakes missions players can expect. From urban combat scenarios to covert operations, the trailer highlights the game’s diverse range of environments and mission types. The use of the Frostbite 2 engine is evident in the detailed graphics and realistic animations, promising a visually stunning experience.
Medal of Honor Warfighter aims to set itself apart from other military shooters by emphasizing the human element of warfare.
