Magic W3 is a new pocket-sized Windows 7 PC that has just been launched by AdvanceTC and is claimed to be the world’s first pocket Windows 7 PC with integrated telephony.
The Magic W3 is powered by an Atom Z530 CPU at 1.6GHz together with 1GB of RAM, and is equipped with a 4.8-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480. For storage, it uses a 32GB SSD and has a handy 1.3-megapixel camera on its front enabled for video conferencing if required.
Connectivity and Features
For its connectivity, the Magic W3 supports both GSM Quad Band and 3.5G HSPA network and has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It’s also fitted with a GPS sensor and a 3200 mAh battery. This makes it a versatile device capable of staying connected in various environments, whether you’re in an urban area or traveling.
The device acts very similar to a smartphone in that the screen image will rotate depending on its orientation and to save battery life will wake from sleep when it receives an incoming call or SMS message. This feature is particularly useful for users who are always on the go and need a device that can adapt to their usage patterns seamlessly.
Practical Applications
The Magic W3’s combination of Windows 7 and telephony capabilities opens up a range of practical applications. For business professionals, it can serve as a compact yet powerful tool for managing emails, documents, and video conferences. The 1.3-megapixel camera, while modest by today’s standards, is sufficient for video calls and quick snapshots.
For tech enthusiasts, the Magic W3 offers a unique blend of a traditional PC experience with the convenience of a smartphone. Imagine being able to run full-fledged Windows applications from your pocket, whether it’s for coding, graphic design, or even gaming. The 32GB SSD provides ample storage for essential applications and files, although users might need to rely on cloud storage for larger files.
Additionally, the GPS sensor can be a valuable tool for navigation and location-based services. Whether you’re exploring a new city or need precise location data for your work, the Magic W3 has you covered.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as it becomes available, we will let you know. The anticipation surrounding this device is high, and it will be interesting to see how it performs in the market and what kind of reception it receives from both consumers and tech critics.
