Anyone interested in learning more about the new Apple Mac Mini 2014 is sure to be interested in this new teardown video created by iFixit, check out the new teardown and review video after the jump.
Providing more details about what they found and revealing the inner workings of the new mini computer designed to run Apple’s latest OS X Yosemite operating system and following on from the pictures and instructions of the teardown they release earlier today.
Unlike other Mac Mini machines built in the past that were user upgradable with easily accessible RAM and storage options that can be removed and replaced with faster alternatives, this years Mac Mini 2014 system is not quite so accessible. iFixit explains :
“It’s been a long time since the Mac Mini got an update, but at Apple’s event last week they announced we’d finally be seeing a new one. The mac mini has always been an iFixit favorite. It’s upgradable, with user-replaceable RAM and the option to add a secondary hard drive. Will this new model live up to our repair expectations? Let’s get it on the teardown table and find out”
Three new Mac Mini computer systems are now available to choose from ranging from £399 up to £799 or $499 to $999 depending on your preferred specifications.
