If you already own a smartphone or phablet device and would like to help prevent damage to it, by allowing you to hold on to your device more securely. You might be interested in a new invention called the Linkmount.
The Linkmount has launched over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website this month and provides users with a multifunctional system that provides a smartphone leash, mount, stand as well as the ability to connect it to almost any tripod.
Created by PLUST, A Design Firm, the low profile at only 8 mm and snag free mount that comes complete with a patented one touch easy release strap that lets you tether your phone to your belt loop, purse or wrist. Its creators explain a little more.
“A 360° grip ring allows you to spin, flip and grip your phone like never before and then with a simple twist the grip ring is transformed into and instant phone stand in both portrait and landscape mode.
The Linkmount System is semi-permanently bonded to your phone or case. This is only possible thanks to 3M’s VHB (very high bond) tape. This stuff is incredibly strong and is used in place of rivets, screws, and welds in many applications. When you get a new phone, you can take your Linkmount off with a piece of dental floss. Although the tape is not reusable, we will ship all our Linkmounts with an extra piece of VHB tape. “
