LG has announced that it has cancelled the launch of its new LTE smartwatch, the LG Watch Urbane 2, the reason for the device being cancelled is due to an undisclosed hardware issue.

You can see the statement below that Android Police received from LG regarding the launch of the device being cancelled.
We understand that you are currently reviewing our latest smartwatch; however, late in the quality assurance process for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, our engineers were made aware of a hardware issue which affects the day-to-day functionality of the device. After further investigation, the decision was made to cancel the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE due to the complicated nature of the issue.
Whether the device will be available in the future will be decided at a later time. For now, our top priority is to ensure that only products that meet our very specific quality standards are available for purchase.
This is a blow for LG and also for Google’s Android Wear as this was supposed to be the first smartwatch to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As yet there are no details on exactly what the hardware issue is with the LG Watch Urbane, although it must be a serious issue for the device to be cancelled completely.
The device launched on AT&T last week and was also available on Verizon, both companies have stopped sales of the smartwatch and are offering customers refunds or the choice of another device.
