OLED technology is becoming popular with smartphones, but is yet to become popular with TV’s, the technology is still relatively expensive and OLED TVs are yet to reach the screen sizes of LCD TVs.
LG will be showing off a new prototype OLED TV display which features a 31 inch screen, and can display 3D content, it is also super thin measuring just 0.11 inches thick.
Whilst this OLED TV is still a prototype, LG will also be showing off another model at the IFA, which measure 0.35 inches thick, this model is ready for retail and LG will start selling it shortly after the IFA.
We have no idea on pricing as yet, but we can expect these super thin TVs to be expensive.
