LG has announced that their flagship Android smartphone, the LG 2X will be launching in Europe in January, it was announced at they will also be launching a range of music ring tones with the LG Optimus 2X in collaboration with Ennio Morricone.
The LG Optimus 2X is one of the first Android smartphones to feature a dual core processor, it will come with a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and will also features a 4 inch WVGA display.
The Optimus 2X also features 8GB of built ion storage, and it can take a further 32GB of storage via the built in microSD card slot. On top of that the Optimus 2X comes with dual cameras, including a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video chat and a 8 megapixel camera on the back for taking photos and recording video.
The LG Optimus 2X will come with Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box, but LG has mentioned that it will be getting upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread shortly after launch.
The Optimus 2X is capable of both recording and playing back Full HD video in 1080p, it alos features a microUSB port and a 1500mAh battery.
From the specifications, we suspect that this is going to be one of the popular Android smartphones of 2011.
