Previous rumors have suggested that the new LG G6 smartphone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.
Now a slide from a confidential presentation that LG made back at CES has been leaked and it lists the LG G6 with a Qualcomm MSM8996AC processor, which is the Snapdragon 821.
Enhanced Performance and Features
In addition to the Snapdragon 821 processor, the handset will come with 4GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient performance for various applications. The LG G6 will also feature Quad DAC audio, which promises superior sound quality, making it an excellent choice for audiophiles who demand high-fidelity audio from their smartphones.
The device will also come equipped with dual rear cameras, a feature that has become increasingly popular in modern smartphones. Dual cameras allow for enhanced photo quality, better depth perception, and more versatile photography options, such as wide-angle shots and improved low-light performance. This makes the LG G6 a compelling option for photography enthusiasts.
Display and Design
LG has already made the display for the handset official. The display measures 5.7 inches and boasts a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, offering a crisp and vibrant visual experience. The aspect ratio of 18:9 is particularly noteworthy, as it provides a taller screen that is ideal for multitasking and immersive media consumption. This aspect ratio also makes the device more comfortable to hold and use with one hand, despite its large screen size.
The design of the LG G6 is expected to be sleek and modern, with minimal bezels to maximize the screen-to-body ratio. This design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the device but also provides a more immersive viewing experience for users.
Additional Features and Anticipation
Beyond the core specifications, the LG G6 is rumored to include several other features that enhance its overall functionality and user experience. For instance, the device is expected to be water and dust resistant, making it more durable and suitable for various environments. This is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the LG G5, which lacked such robust protection.
The LG G6 is also anticipated to support wireless charging, a feature that adds convenience for users who prefer a cable-free charging experience. Additionally, the handset is likely to come with an improved user interface, offering a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
We will have more details about the new LG G6 when it is announced at Mobile World Congress later this month. LG’s press event takes place on the 26th of February, and it is expected to provide comprehensive insights into the device’s capabilities, pricing, and availability.
The anticipation surrounding the LG G6 is palpable, as it represents a significant step forward for LG in the competitive smartphone market. With its powerful processor, ample RAM, high-quality audio, dual cameras, and impressive display, the LG G6 is poised to be a strong contender against other flagship devices.
