We have been hearing rumors about the new LG G3 Prime for some time, LG recently trademarked a bunch of names for devices with the word ‘Prime’ in the name.
Now a device with the model number LG-F460S has turned up in the Bluetooth SIG, this is the model number we have been hearing about for the new LG G3 Prime.
This new high end version of the LG G3 is said to come with a number of upgrades over the existing model, it will feature the same 5.5 inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels as the LG G3, but will get a faster processor and more.
The LG G3 Prime is said to come with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, plus an Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
The handset will also come with faster LTE in the form of LTE-Advanced, this will offer download speed of up to 225Mbps, the rest of the devices specifications are expected to be the same as the original G3.
This will include a front facing 2.1 megapixel camera and a rear facing 13 megapixel camera, the handset will come with Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat.
As yet we have no idea on whether the new LG G3 Prime will make its way to the U.S. and Europe, what we do know is that it is headed to South Korea, we wonder if LG will do the same as Samsung did with their new S5 LTE-A.
