We previously heard a rumor that the LG G Watch would launch in July, and now it looks like we have a possible launch date for this Android Wear Smartwatch.
According to a recent report, the LG G Watch will launch in the UK on the 7th of July, we presume that LG will also launch the device in the US at the same time, or possibly slightly earlier.
The LG G Watch is expected to be fully unveiled at the Google I/O developer conference later this month. We previously heard that the device would retail for around £180 in the UK, and now we have some more information on the price for this new smartwatch.
The G Watch will apparently retail for less than the Samsung Gear 2 Neo in the UK, this device currently retails for £169.99, so the new LG smartwatch could possibly retail for £159.99 or possibly lower.
So far we know some of the specifications on the G Watch, as these were confirmed by a UK retailer last month. The device will feature a 1.65 inch display with a 280 x 280 pixel resolution and it will feature 4GB of built in storage.
There have been various other rumors about the device, which include that it may come with its own SIM card slot, this would allow it to work on its own without the need to pair it up to a smartphone or tablet.
We should have more details on the new LG G Watch later this month, we are also expecting to find out more details about another Android Wear device, the Moto 360 at Google I/O.
