LG will make the new LG G Watch official at their LG G3 press event later today, this new wearable gadget will go on sale next month, and now it looks like the device will come with a built in SIM card slot.
This means that the new G Watch will be able to work without connecting the device to your Android smartphone or tablet, Samsung is also rumored to be working on a similar device, the Samsung Gear Solo.
According to a recent report from the Korean media, the new LG smartwatch will come with a USIM (Universal Subscriber Identity Module), and the device will apparently launch on mobile carrier LG U+ in South Korea.
This would mean that you will be able to make phone calls, send texts, answer emails, and more direct from the new LG G Watch without hooking the device up to your smartphone or tablet.
The LG G Watch is expected to feature a 1.65 inch display with a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels, the gadget will be the first device to launch with Android Wear and it will feature 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.
