We previously heard rumors that the LG G Watch would launch in June, the news originally came from LG France, and we have just received some information from a contact at a UK retailer who has told us the LG G Watch will launch in the UK next Month.
The LG G Watch will be the first smartwatch to launch with Google’s new wearable version of Android, which is called Android Wear, and the device is expected to retail for under £200 in the UK.
So far LG have not revealed any of the specifications on the LG G Watch, all we know so far is that it will come in two colors, champagne gold and stealth black, and it will be water and dust resistant.
We also heard yesterday that another Android Wear smartwatch will be launching shortly, the Moto 360 from Motorola, this is rumored to launch in July.
The LG G Watch features more of a square design similar to a number of smart watches that are already on the market, where as the Motorola Moto 360 features for of a traditional watch design.
We are looking forward to seeing both the new LG G Watch and the new Motorola Moto 360, plus Android Wear, it will be interesting to see what these new smart watches are actually like.
