Lenovo has revealed via their website that two new Android tablets will be arriving in the US during September in the form of the Lenovo IdeaTab A2017 and A2109.
Lenovo has published a couple of teaser slides with a few specifications about each of the tablets that both will run Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.
Lenovo IdeaTab A2107: Compact and Versatile
The Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 is equipped with a 7-inch screen, making it a compact and portable option for users who are always on the go. This tablet comes with 3G, Bluetooth, and WiFi connectivity, ensuring that you can stay connected no matter where you are. One of the standout features of the A2107 is its offline GPS navigation, which allows users to navigate even without an internet connection. This can be particularly useful for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally, the A2107 boasts a long battery life, making it a reliable companion for extended use throughout the day.
Lenovo IdeaTab A2109: Larger Screen and Enhanced Features
The Lenovo IdeaTab A2109 is fitted with a larger 9-inch screen, providing a resolution of 1280 x 800. This higher resolution ensures a crisp and clear display, making it ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and reading e-books. The A2109 also supports 1080p playback, allowing users to enjoy high-definition content. For those who enjoy video calls and photography, the A2109 is equipped with a 1.3MP front camera and a 3.0MP rear camera. These cameras are housed in an aluminium case with an internal roll cage, providing durability and a premium feel.
The A2109’s aluminium case not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also offers additional protection against drops and impacts. This makes it a suitable choice for users who need a robust device for daily use. The combination of a larger screen, high-resolution display, and durable build makes the A2109 a versatile tablet for both entertainment and productivity.
Additional Features and Considerations
Both the Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 and A2109 come with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system. This version of Android offers a user-friendly interface and access to a wide range of apps through the Google Play Store. Users can customize their tablets with various apps, widgets, and settings to suit their individual needs.
While the teaser slides provide a glimpse into the specifications and features of these tablets, there are still some details that remain unknown. For instance, Lenovo has not yet released information on the pricing of the IdeaTab A2107 and A2109. Pricing will be a crucial factor for many potential buyers, and it will be interesting to see how Lenovo positions these tablets in the competitive market.
Another aspect to consider is the availability of accessories for these tablets. Accessories such as protective cases, screen protectors, and external keyboards can enhance the user experience and provide additional functionality. It would be beneficial for Lenovo to offer a range of accessories to complement the IdeaTab A2107 and A2109.
